What is Blinko?
The official website of Blinko Cloud describes itself as an AI note-taking and personal blogging platform. Its workflow consists of capturing, storing, and sharing: first jot down your fleeting thoughts, then use AI to expand and polish them into notes, and publish them to your personal blog when ready. The official emphasizes that there is no need to deploy and maintain servers on your own. It also states that the cloud version shares most of its core capabilities and development direction with the open-source version, and strives to ensure that free users can also fully use the core functions.
Who is it for?
- People who have many ideas but are too lazy to organize them and want to keep their thoughts first.
- Independent writers who want to gradually organize their private notes into public blog posts.
- Knowledge workers who need to manage files and materials and want them to stay in the same place as their ideas.
- Open-source enthusiasts who are willing to self-deploy and want to experience the cloud version first before deciding whether to build their own.
Key features
6Capture
The official website states that you can jot down a few words, an unclear thought or a fleeting inspiration first and organize them later.
Polishing with AI
Select the words you jotted down casually and have the AI expand or polish them for you, making continuous revisions until it truly becomes your own expression.
Turn into Your Own Notes
Turn fleeting thoughts into formal notes, then come back to read, revise and expand on them, which is perfect for ideas that you want to refine over the long term.
Share
Publish notes from your private space to your personal blog, letting your ideas step out of the editor and be seen by more people.
Chat with Your Notes
The official description states that you can ask what you recorded today, explore a topic and keep asking follow-up questions, and let AI help you make the most of what you've already documented.
Random Walk & Plugin Marketplace
The official website mentions randomly rediscovering forgotten old notes, as well as plugins such as focus timer and background music, which are used in conjunction with the file organization capability.
How to use Blinko
- Jot down your fleeting thoughts without any threshold, and set aside a fixed time to organize them, which is easier to stick to than categorizing as you go.
- Rewrite it yourself after the AI expansion, otherwise it will easily turn into a generic tone without any personal traces.
- Be sure to check privacy before publishing to a blog, as your private space may likely contain work and client information.
- The official stated that the revenue from the cloud version will subsidize the open-source version, and improvements suitable for self-deployment will be fed back gradually.
- When choosing a version, you can decide which one to use based on whether you need maintenance-free operation.
- Plugins come from the plugin marketplace.
- Pay attention to permissions and sources before installation, and do not hand over sensitive data to third-party plugins.
- It is recommended to keep your own backups of important content, and the terms and functional boundaries of the cloud-based service shall be subject to the official website's instructions.
- The official website mentions that you can organize relevant files and materials together, gather them first, and then decide which ones are worth sharing.
